The Histry of Designs We Take for Granted

Have you ever found yourself looking at an object as if for the first time and wondering, how did this come to be created? Who was the first person to have the idea for an item that today we find commonplace? Or, why is a particular product designed in the way that it is?

My name is Chris Whitwood and in this podcast, Ubiquity, I’ll be taking a closer look at the history and designs of some everyday products that we often take for granted. I’ll be exploring where the designs originate, some of the overlooked innovations that make them so successful, and considering what we can learn from the designs that exist all around us.
